BICYCLING TO FRANK’s FRUIT STAND

Now that temps have cooled off some, and rain has refreshed us a bit, I decided to bicycle out to my friend’s farm and fruit stand. It’s blueberry season, and he’s got some good local peaches, too. The ride was a bit of a workout, but only near the end. He lives atop a big hill out in windmill country where there are some really big wind machines and steep hills. Frank gets cheap electricity at night. So he bought a Chevy VOLT which is a hybrid combo. In 4,000 miles, he has only burned 12 gallons of gas, as he rarely drives more than 50 miles.
