Eric – I actually watched with my family that episode of, I think, Panorama with Richard Dimbleby. He was the father of David and Jonathan Dimbleby who chair ‘Question time’ on BBC TV and Radio these days. Thanks for the memory!
The piece is memorable, to be sure. I watched it as a kid when it was rebroadcast on US tv in late 1950’s. Early this morning it all came together on the right day.
