Overnighting, after Laredo

While these quarters might be suitable for some, you can do better . . .   (Photo copyright by Eric Chaffee)

This place is called LAS PALMAS for obvious reasons. It is located in the state of San Luis Potosi, in the town of Matahuala, along Rt 57. ¬†The motel provides a pleasant time trip back to the 1960’s, when life seemed simpler. They offer little bungalows around several interior streets of the compound, allowing each guest to park a vehicle in front of their quarters. And they even have space for RV’s (sorry, not sure about hook-ups). While the on-site restaurant is a bit fancy, guests can walk across the road for local fare in the village. We stayed here coming and going.
